French Linguistics and Art History (1996, University of Hamburg).
Research interests: semiotics (R. Jakobson, C.S. Peirce), metaphor and metonymy
in multimodal communication (text & image, speech & gesture), cognitive-functionalist
linguistics, political iconography.
